Rules and Regulations

• Entry fees paid at the latest 1 hour before each event.
• Photocopied entries will be accepted.
• Receipt and acceptance of entries will be confirmed only if a stamped and self addressed envelope accompanies the entry / group of entries.
• No substitutes or unofficial entries will be permitted.
• No refund will be made to an entrant who withdraws for whatever reason or if the event does not take place for reasons beyond the control of the organiser.
• Wet suits, Swimming aids, Receiving assistance while swimming or disobeying the instructions of an official are not permitted and will lead to disqualifications.
• The event will take place irrespective of weather conditions, unless the organisers deem conditions unsafe.
• All competitors participate at their own risk

Release and Waiver

In consideration of the acceptance of my entry I, for myself, executors, heirs, administrators and assigns, do hereby release and discharge Newcastle S&L Club and its sponsors, any and all voluntary groups, all medical personnel, any and all authorities from all claims for injuries, damage and property loss I may suffer caused by negligence of any of them and arriving out of my participation in the event including pre and post race activities. I am physically fit and sufficiently trained to participate in this event and assume all risks for participation. I accept all rules, conditions and regulations which includes terms of payment of entry fee and will comply with them. I also grant my permission to Newcastle S&L Club and its authorised agents to use my name, photographs, video tape, broadcasts, telecasts, advertising promotion or other account of this event free of charge.

Definition of terms

Entry : Pre-enter and pay for events (refer to entry form)
Race day Entries : will be accepted at an additional charge of R25, closing an hour before each race.
Registration: To collect your entry number and information at registration table closing an hour before each race.
500m fun swim : All ages Male & Female start @ 11h00
Triathlon : All ages Male & Female start @ 11h00
Chelmsford WOMEN 1000m swim: start @ 10h00
Chelmsford MEN 1000m swim: start @ 09h00
